Hello,
I'm Ben and I live in the beautiful county of Dorset in the South of the UK.
I picked up my first camera at about 10 years old, through my fascination of the nature on my doorstep, which was a mature Oak wood on the outskirts of Dorchester.
The wood was my playground, my retreat and my classroom of the wonderful nature.
The film cameras i used were documenting the wildlife, with varying degrees of success, but always learning about the subject and the errors of my photographic ways. Digital opened up a new window and with better understanding and better equipment i continue to photograph wildlife some 40 plus years later.
I have always used Nikon cameras and lenses, and they serve me well, mirrorless digital has added a new level of imagery and made it easier in a way. My main interests are of course Nature, in various forms, macro being particularly interesting, but also other genres of photography such as Militaria.
My images have been used Worldwide, books and magazines, TV and Film, with ongoing projects which i hope will inspire and help fuel the passion for nature for the next generation.
